Word 6.x/7.0 drawing objects lost when saved in other format due to unique.
Cause:
Drawing objects are unique to Word 6.0 and 7.0, so they cannot be used in other formats.
Solution:
Bring the object to the text layer with the 'Create Picture', copy and paste special as a picture before trying to convert it, or if the picture is only text, select the text, delete the drawing object border and paste special as RTF text.
To keep the objects in the file, do one of the following:
1) Bring the object to the text layer with the 'Create Picture':
a) Click 'Group' toolbar button on the 'Drawing' toolbar, to group ALL of the objects.
b) Select the item that was originally lost.
c) Click 'Create Picture'. (The object becomes part of the text layer.)
2) Copy and 'Paste Special' as a picture before trying to convert it.
3) If the picture is only text:
a) Select the text.
b) Delete the drawing object border.
c) 'Paste special' as RTF text.
